Core Laboratories

 About the Program

Lab pictureCTRC Core Laboratories support approved CTRC clinical research protocols with a wide range of sophisticated analytical testing, including chemical and immunological assays, clinical molecular genetics tests, behavioral medicine assays, and integrative physiology testing. Core lab assays are intended to complement assays undertaken in the investigator's own laboratory and those that are neither available in the hospital clinical laboratory nor conveniently available elsewhere.

 Services & Resources

Specialized services and resources from the four networked Core Labs include:

University of Colorado Hospital CTRC Core Lab (located in the Leprino Office Building, 3rd floor, on the Anschutz Medical Campus)
  • Broad range of highly complex chemical and immunological assays (link to assay list), including peptide/hormone measures by HPLC, RIA, ELISA, and enzymatic colorimetry; real time PCR (RT-PCR); and point-of-care testing (POCT).
  • Assay development in special cases
  • Assay management help for investigators
