Colorado Pilot and Collaborative Translational and Clinical Studies Program (CO-Pilot)
RFAs are issued annually in early summer, with applications due in the fall, and awards follow at the end of the year. Key dates are posted on this site and announced to the community.

 About the Program

The CO-Pilot Grant Program of the CCTSI provides one-year pilot grant awards meant to encourage cross-disciplinary and collaborative research in clinical and translational science. Translational research is broadly defined and includes any basic, pre-clinical or clinical research with promise to improve human health. There are three award levels (indirect costs not permitted):

  • Pilot Awards - $20,000
  • Independent Investigator / Career Transition Award - $50,000
  • Team Science Award -$100,000

In addition to CO-Pilot awards, the CCTSI provides additional annual pilot awards for research specific to Child and Maternal Health (CMH) and Community-Academic Partnerships.
